Generosity
Part of our response to God's generosity to us in the gospel of Jesus is that we become people who are generous! It is liberating to be set free from  selfishness and greed and to be excited to give away money. But sometimes it can be hard to know who to give money to. The bible encourages us to help those in need, but it also encourages us to be wise in the way we do it. The aim of this page is to provide you with some information to help you in your giving.

Giving to support DPC
The ministry of the DPC family of churches receives 100% of its support from the giving of DPC members. Most, almost all, of the budget at DPC is spent on supporting our paid workers.  An increase in our income does not mean they get paid more! But it does mean the possibility of growing our ministry team as gospel opportunities arise.

There are two main ways you can give to DPC.

1. You can give via direct deposit or internet transfer. Here are our bank details:

Name: Dubbo Presbyterian Church
BSB  032 646
Account Number  341 353

2. You can give each week at Church. There are envelopes available in the foyer.

Compassion

You may be familiar with the work of Compassion through the Child sponsorship program. We sponsor a child in Bangladesh and in February 2007 I had the opportunity to visit the Compassion project while in Bangladesh.

I cannot express how great the work of Compassion is. Arriving at the project after 2 weeks in Bangladesh was like finding an oasis in the desert. It was wonderful. It is totally transforming the lives of children and their families.  I heartily encourage anyone to support the work of Compassion by signing up to sponsor some Children.

Click here to see the compassion website. Compassion Australia is currently running an appeal for Bangladesh.

Here is a photo of the Compassion project:

Here is a photo of the family of one of the Children we support. When the Grandfather met me he broke down and wept and kept saying thankyou over and over again and pointing to his grandson who we support.
