Childrens worker wanted

Position Vacant:  Children’s worker

Dubbo Presbyterian Church is a network of three bible based and Christ centred churches meeting in one building. We have approx 400 adults and 150 children spread across the 3 churches and ministry team of 3 pastors and 4 elders working together as a close team.

We are seeking a new position of children’s worker 2-3 days per week.

It will include oversight of our current Sunday School ‘kidschurch’ at our 9am and 11am churches (approx 150 children in total) including writing curriculum and lessons and the recruiting, training, leading and encouraging of a team of teachers.

We do not have a current children’s worker so this position will largely be created around the applicant, but will include ministry to children in our churches from preschool to year 6. Our church mission statement is ‘growing followers of Christ Jesus.’  This role will be helping children to connect with Jesus, helping them grow in Jesus, and helping them to serve by encouraging them in connecting others to Jesus and serving others.  We would love for our children’s worker to help us think creatively and practically about how we can do this better through all aspects of church life.

This is an opportunity for someone to create and shape a new children’s ministry in a supportive team environment. Theological training and experience in children’s ministry essential.
